Established in 1994, SOTICO had one factory located along the Mekong River.
This factory processes frozen seafood and was the first one of the
factories which exported marine products to EU market under EU code DL 127.
At the beginning, SOTICO exported clam and freshwater prawns only. Main
markets were Japan (70%), EU (30%).
After that, SOTICO has developed more new products such as cuttlefish,
squid, octopus, cat tiger shrimps and seafood cocktail. The market shares
of EU has increased to 70%, Japan and Korea 30%.
In 2002, SOTICO sets up the canning factory, capacity 300 cans/ minute. This
factory has started operation since late 2004. The main products are
shrimps, crab, clam meat in brine and sardine in tomato and chili. The main
market is USA.
SOTICO
is one of the Enterprises which has won the title: “PRESTIGE FOR ITS
EXPORTS “ during 3 consecutive years from 2004 to 2006 awarded by the
Ministry of Commerce in Vietnam. |
